HI ......Thanks for stopping by.

My name is Heather.

Meet Heather  (and RickyMartin)

I want to live not just longer, but better.

I’ve spent the majority of my life always wanting to be just a little less fat, a little more muscle, a little smaller in size which resulted in years of yo-yo dieting searching for THE answer with varying degrees of success each time.

My 20+ years working in the fitness industry gave me a thirst for nutrition knowledge – to understand the value of healthy eating and its relationship to exercise but this was not able to be realised in a formal way until recently.

I worked in all areas of the gym – from fitness, group, and personal training, to Centre Management.

Six years ago, my partner Peter and I made the decision to move away from the city and we bought Bed and Breakfast accommodation on the edges of the Tongariro National Park. We love having guests in our home and share a little bit of kiwi hospitality with them. I love to cook and care for people, and teach yoga in my community.

More recently, I decided to study with the Nutritional Therapy Association and have graduated as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and as a Restorative Wellness Solutions Level 1 Practitioner - which focuses on Gastrointestinal (Gut) Healing.

I believe in self-love – it’s really important to love the body you are in. But if the body you are in, is affecting your health regardless of size or weight, nutritional therapy can help you overcome these health issues.

Diet and exercise however, are not always the answers.

They are only two pieces of a much bigger puzzle.

If you are struggling to be the best version of you, you may want to consider whether you suffer with any of these issues:

  • Food allergies
  • Blood sugar imbalances
  • Heavy metal burdens
  • Parasites in the gut
  • Gut dysbiosis
  • Absorption issues
  • Thyroid issues
  • Emotional issues
  • HPA axis dysfunction (stress)
  • Nutrient deficiencies

“Food isn’t LIKE medicine, it IS medicine and it’s our number one tool for creating the vibrant life we deserve.”

Dr Mark Hyman

By understanding all potential underlying causes of weight loss resistance and supporting the body and mind in the right way – weight loss is a natural SIDE EFFECT of Nutritional Therapy.

Hand in hand we’ll work together so that you too can live not only longer, but better with vitality and self-love.

What are you waiting for. Get in touch now!
